Golfing at the Champions Course at Bryant Park in Greensboro, NC?

Modern Turf’s been very busy in 2013, replacing greens at some of the finest golf courses in the nation. The Champions Course at Bryant Park Golf and Conference Center in Greensboro, NC replaced its bentgrass with MiniVerde Ultradwarf Bermudagrass.

The course’s General Manager and Director of Golf, Kyle Kolls, was excited to see the change because not only will golfers enjoy the amazing playability of this turf, but the work needed to keep it looking beautiful and healthy is a lot less than many other types of turf.

The MiniVerde bentgrass Modern Turf installs requires fewer chemical treatments, less frequent aeration, and even less watering than most greens found on bentgrass courses.

Opened in 1990, The Champions Course at Bryan Park is a Rees Jones Masterpiece. Designed to allow a full appreciation of Lake Townsend – unless your ball decides to go for a swim – the course was ranked as a runner-up for best new public course by Golf Digest. Subsequent years, the course has also been ranked high among national courses in various golf publications.

If you go, be sure to enjoy the two 18-hole championship courses – The Players Course and The Champions Course – as well as the pro shop and grill, Bryan Enrichment Center, and picnic and park facilities nearby.

Once you see the difference MiniVerde Ultradwarf makes on a course, and in your own game, you may want to have your home course contact Modern Turf about making the switch, too.
