Your lawn maintenance service needs to know how to care for your MiniVerde grass.

MiniVerde grass is not just any grass, so your lawn maintenance service may need some tips on taking care of it. It is essentially a putting grass and for that reason, you will find it mostly on golf greens. Many homeowners like the look of the grass on a home yard, but given that it mostly grows sideways instead of vertically, it can be challenging to care for. Most homeowners are fully prepared to maintain their lawns using rotary mowers – but MiniVerde grass is different. It grows rather sideways!

Reel mowers are the best for MiniVerde grass. As you interview a lawn maintenance service, be sure to ask whether they have reel mowers as well as their rotaries. In fact, your MiniVerde grass will need a very fine mover with the blade barely hung above the ground to achieve a putting grass look.

Your grass needs regular mowing. It will look best when mowed to within a fraction of an inch. Best results show at 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch. What makes MiniVerde so attractive is its color but when you make the mistake of leaving it unattended, it will seed, shade out, then start thinning and decline.
