Spring lawn treatment doesn’t have to be hard; you just have to go about it the right way.

When the weather starts to warm up, most home owners know it its once again time for spring lawn treatment to begin. This doesn’t have to be a challenge if you go about it in the proper manner.

The initial step is to clear your lawn of all debris. That means breaking out your rake and giving your lawn a good once over. Once your lawn is clear, you are ready to start implementing some key spring lawn treatment techniques.

First you should test your soil’s acidity level. Make sure the reading you get is consistent with a lower level of acidity. If you find high levels of acidity exist, then lime is a great way to counteract it.

Though you don’t want to start too early, you do want to fertilize your lawn in the spring as soon as it is ready for it. This will usually be done after you rake and test the acidity level, and when it is done early, the nutrients in the fertilizer have plenty of time to soak in just before the weather gets really warm.

With these simple spring lawn treatment techniques, you can all but guarantee that your law will look great in the spring, and beyond. The key is to be prepared, and to give your lawn ample attention once spring officially rears its head.
